Business Development Associate

As a business development associate, you will identify and develop strategic relationships with partners and potential customers.  Working across our organization, you’ll have the opportunity to implement business development initiatives which will grow and support our sales team. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops pre-meeting research, pitch decks, case studies, proposals, and other related supporting documents for prospective clients.
  • Creates market-focused sales plans.
  • Brings together internal sales data and external market dynamics to help guide company growth initiatives.
  • Aligns organizational resources with customer needs.
  • Plans and coordinates trade organization and industry events participation.
  • Organizes and coordinates internal and external promotions.
  • Executes sales plans in collaboration with Account Executives and Hub Management. 

Education, Training and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related fields.
  • 2+ years of experience in Business Development role
  • Strong competency with MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
  • Steel or Manufacturing Industry experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information and ideas.
  • Strong aptitude for sales and excellent customer service skills.
  • Team oriented with a professional, enthusiastic, and friendly demeanor. 
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. 
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the desire to continually learn and expand knowledge base.
  • Ability to prioritize projects, accept responsibility, and follow through without close supervision.
  • Strong relationship building experience.
